{"id":141060,"date":"2017-11-16T12:41:45","date_gmt":"2017-11-16T09:41:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/foreign-minister-ertugruloglu-celebrates-the-turkish-cypriot-national-day\/"},"modified":"2017-11-16T12:41:45","modified_gmt":"2017-11-16T09:41:45","slug":"foreign-minister-ertugruloglu-celebrates-the-turkish-cypriot-national-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/foreign-minister-ertugruloglu-celebrates-the-turkish-cypriot-national-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Foreign Minister Ertu\u011fruloglu celebrates the Turkish Cypriot National Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu celebrated the TRNC\u2019s National Day, which marked the 34th Anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern by the Turkish Cypriot People on 15<sup>th<\/sup> November 1983.<\/p>\n<p>In his message marking the occasion, \u00a0\u00a0Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu said that the Turkish Cypriot People had paid a high price for their struggle in the past \u2013 suffering persecution, migration and loss of life in order to build the Turkish Cypriot state.\u00a0 The Foreign Minister urged the audience to acknowledge the value of their flag and their state and added that the Turkish Cypriot People have claimed the TRNC as their state for 34 years, developing and carrying it into the future with the support of motherland Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>Ertu\u011fruloglu also stated that motherland Turkey has always supported the TRNC throughout the years and announced that both countries are working towards the development and democratic functioning of a modern TRNC in every field.
