The group were visiting the TRNC to take part in a tournament, but were detained at the airport and deported to Israel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Greek Cypriot daily newspaper Alithia reported that a similar incident had taken place earlier in September, when the Israeli Embassy intervened to guarantee the entry of Israeli citizens.
