{"id":141222,"date":"2018-03-26T11:20:32","date_gmt":"2018-03-26T08:20:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/deputy-prime-minister-ozersay-we-will-remove-the-customs-duty-on-aid-sent-from-the-greek-cypriot-side\/"},"modified":"2018-03-26T11:20:32","modified_gmt":"2018-03-26T08:20:32","slug":"deputy-prime-minister-ozersay-we-will-remove-the-customs-duty-on-aid-sent-from-the-greek-cypriot-side","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/deputy-prime-minister-ozersay-we-will-remove-the-customs-duty-on-aid-sent-from-the-greek-cypriot-side\/","title":{"rendered":"Deputy Prime Minister \u00d6zersay: &#8220;We will remove the customs duty on aid sent from the Greek Cypriot side&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret \u00d6zersay has announced plans to remove customs duty applied to goods sent to Greek Cypriots and Maronites living in the TRNC by the Greek Cypriot administration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Deputy Prime Minister confirmed that the TRNC Government is taking steps to remove the customs duty in an interview with Turkish News Agency and BRT.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00d6zersay stated that the aid sent through the United Nations would be checked for quantity and quality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that brochures will be handed out, alongside stickers and labelling on the products in several languages, making clear that the sale of these goods is prohibited.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minister \u00d6zersay added \u201cWe have explained before that we will implement a civilized, modern approach on this issue.
