The Minister of National Education and Culture Cemal \u00d6zyi\u011fit participated in the 13th ISESCO General Conference of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), organized by ISESCO, which operates under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in which the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is an observer member.<\/p>\n
The conference, which was attended by representatives and Ministers of Education, Science, Culture and Communication and the authorities of international organizations from 54 member countries and 3 observer member countries, was held at the ISESCO headquarters in Rabat, Morocco.<\/p>\n
In his speech at the conference, \u00d6zyi\u011fit gave information about the fields of education and culture in the TRNC.<\/p>\n
Stating that the international character and diversity of higher education is clearly visible in the TRNC, which has approximately 100,000 students from 145 different countries and academicians from 65 different countries, \u00d6zyi\u011fit said that the number of scholarships granted to the students from the member states who want to study in TRNC\u2019s universities under the \u201cEducation Exchange Program\u201d has increased from 10 to 20 in 2018, and he also added that the relationship in the higher education field could be further developed.<\/p>\n
\u00d6zyi\u011fit also exchanged views especially with the Minister of Culture and Communication of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mohamed Laaraj, ISESCO Director General, Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri; and Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Garayev Abulfas Mursal Oglu as well as the education and culture ministers of some member countries regarding the international exchange programs and the opportunities of higher education in our country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
