{"id":141469,"date":"2018-10-23T11:25:44","date_gmt":"2018-10-23T08:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/samani-akinci-made-the-greek-cypriots-face-the-facts\/"},"modified":"2018-10-23T11:25:44","modified_gmt":"2018-10-23T08:25:44","slug":"samani-akinci-made-the-greek-cypriots-face-the-facts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/samani-akinci-made-the-greek-cypriots-face-the-facts\/","title":{"rendered":"Samani: \u201cAk\u0131nc\u0131 made the Greek Cypriots face the facts\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Special Political Advisor on Political Affairs and History of the TRNC Presidency Meltem Onurkan Samani said that President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131\u2019s determined and sincere stance towards reaching a settlement was the reason for the end of the approach for open ended and fruitful negotiation processes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Samani added that the 5 party conference which had convened as a result of Ak\u0131nc\u0131\u2019s efforts had forced the Greek Cypriot side to face the facts of the settlement which was being negotiated at the table.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cFor the first time in the history, a UN report stated that an open ended process was no longer supported\u201d Samani said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Expressing that if the Greek Cypriot side desires different solution models, they should clarify them.
