{"id":141470,"date":"2018-10-23T11:27:23","date_gmt":"2018-10-23T08:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/kalin-turkey-will-never-give-up-on-her-rights-in-the-eastern-mediterranean\/"},"modified":"2018-10-23T11:27:23","modified_gmt":"2018-10-23T08:27:23","slug":"kalin-turkey-will-never-give-up-on-her-rights-in-the-eastern-mediterranean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/kalin-turkey-will-never-give-up-on-her-rights-in-the-eastern-mediterranean\/","title":{"rendered":"Kal\u0131n: &#8220;Turkey will never give up on her rights in the Eastern Mediterranean&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turkey\u2019s Presidential Spokesman Kal\u0131n stated that Turkey will never give up on her rights in the Eastern Mediterranean which are safeguarded by international law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Answering the questions of journalists at the Presidency Complex, Kal\u0131n said: \u201cWhat Turkey wants in the Eastern Mediterranean is to develop a sharing model that will be based on the common interests of both sides in the economic regions around Cyprus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stating that while the Greek Cypriot side does unilateral drilling by creating a de facto situation, the Turkish Cypriot side and Turkey cannot avoid doing the same thing, Kal\u0131n added that Turkey will never give up on her rights in the Eastern Mediterranean which is safeguarded by international law. \u201cThat is why our scientific research vessels such as Fatih, Barbaros, and others will continue drilling in this region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe Greek Cypriot side must know that it is out of the question for Turkey to allow any steps regarding drilling or any other issue by ignoring Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot side and such a thing will be impossible to be accepted in terms of international law.
