Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih D\u00f6nmez stated that for the first time, Turkey is conducting deep sea drilling operation with its own vessel. D\u00f6nmez gave a speech at the ceremony held for the first drilling. D\u00f6nmez said that Turkey has always supported stability, peace and prosperity in the Eastern Mediterranean, and has taken steps within the framework of maritime law.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTurkey will always protect the rights of the Turkish Cypriots in accordance with international maritime law in respect of unilateral and illegal steps.
