{"id":141556,"date":"2018-11-30T13:20:36","date_gmt":"2018-11-30T10:20:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/nami-calls-comcec-to-deepen-economic-relations-with-trnc\/"},"modified":"2018-11-30T13:20:36","modified_gmt":"2018-11-30T10:20:36","slug":"nami-calls-comcec-to-deepen-economic-relations-with-trnc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/nami-calls-comcec-to-deepen-economic-relations-with-trnc\/","title":{"rendered":"Nami calls COMCEC to \u201cdeepen economic relations with TRNC\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Minister of Economy and Energy \u00d6zdil Nami attended the 34th OIC Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) meeting in \u0130stanbul.<\/p>\n<p>34th Ministerial Session of the COMCEC meeting entitled \u201cFacilitation of Trade: \u201cRisk Management in Customs\u201d was held under the presidency of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo\u011fan.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the COMCEC Ministerial Session, Nami called the COMCEC member states to deepen their economic relations with the TRNC.<\/p>\n<p>Nami, who conveyed a summary of the development of the Cyprus negotiations, stressed that the United Nations need to show will for a timetable and solution-oriented negotiation process that will change the current status quo. Nami requested the COMCEC member countries to support this issue.<\/p>\n<p>Nami also touched upon the issue of natural gas and stated that the energy issue should be structured in a manner to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the related parties.
