Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret \u00d6zersay said that the sides should reach an agreement on which issues will be negotiated to be able to conduct a result oriented negotiation process.<\/p>\n
\u00d6zersay evaluated the meeting with the UN Secretary General\u2019s Special Representative and Head of Mission in Cyprus Elizabeth Spehar held at the Head \u00a0Office of the People\u2019s Party (HP).<\/p>\n
\u00d6zersay said that in order to convert the dialogue conducted by UN Secretary General\u2019s temporary envoy on Cyprus Jane Holl Lute to a negotiation process, firstly the sides should reach an agreement on which issues will be negotiated. \u00d6zersay stressed that he expressed this issue to the UN in a detailed way.<\/p>\n
\u00d6zersay added \u201cIn the following process, no one should consider this process or similar processes independently from the developments in the world and in the region. Therefore, the developments on the Cyprus problem, which is an international problem, should not be considered independently from the Brexit process, for example from the European Parliament elections and from the local elections in Turkey to be held in 2019. These developments will determine what will be in the following process. By taking into consideration these issues, we have found an opportunity to share with the UN our views regarding the following process within the framework of the conditions especially both international and regional and for Cyprus.
