The meeting was held at the residence of the UN Secretary General\u2019s Special Representative to Cyprus and Chief of Mission, Elizabeth Spehar, in the buffer zone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following the meeting, President Ak\u0131nc\u0131 made a statement to the press. Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said that they exchanged views on the issue of decentralization, and the sides keep their views regarding the central authority, political equality and active participation in the decisions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Expressing that there is not any obstacle for permanent connection of the electricity network between the two sides, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 also said that they have reached an agreement for the steps to be taken to make mobile telephones operable on both sides of the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Furthermore, adding that they reached a consensus regarding de-mining, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said \u201cWe reached a consensus on de-mining 9 minefields in both sides.
