{"id":141860,"date":"2019-07-11T12:39:48","date_gmt":"2019-07-11T09:39:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/akinci-received-spehar-4\/"},"modified":"2019-07-11T12:39:48","modified_gmt":"2019-07-11T09:39:48","slug":"akinci-received-spehar-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/akinci-received-spehar-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Ak\u0131nc\u0131 received Spehar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 received the United Nations Secretary-General\u2019s Special Representative in Cyprus Elizabeth Spehar.<\/p>\n<p>In his statement to the press following the meeting, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said that Spehar visited both leaders prior to the UN Security Council meeting on Cyprus and the report submitted to the Security Council and they also made an assessment on the Cyprus issue.<\/p>\n<p>Stating that as the Turkish Cypriot side, they work on ideas to increase confidence between the two communities and they also pay attention to the events which shakes the confidence between the two communities, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said that one of these incidents was\u00a0harassment to a bus driver from the TRNC and the Hungarian passengers at Larnaca Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Indicating that he conveyed to Spehar how sensitive these events were and what they could cause in case of repetition, Ak\u0131nc\u0131 said that these attacks were not acceptable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Mustafa Ak\u0131nc\u0131 received the United Nations Secretary-General\u2019s Special Representative in Cyprus Elizabeth Spehar.
