{"id":142932,"date":"2022-01-14T10:51:38","date_gmt":"2022-01-14T07:51:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/founding-president-denktas-commemorated-2\/"},"modified":"2022-01-14T10:51:38","modified_gmt":"2022-01-14T07:51:38","slug":"founding-president-denktas-commemorated-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/founding-president-denktas-commemorated-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Founding President Denkta\u015f commemorated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A commemorative event was held for founding President Rauf Raif Denkta\u015f to mark the 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of his passing with a ceremony held at the Rauf Raif Denkta\u015f Monument\u00a0yesterday morning (13th January 2022)<\/p>\n<p>President Ersin Tatar and DP Deputy Serdar Denkta\u015f, son of the Founding President, made a speech at the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking first at the ceremony,\u00a0Serdar Denkta\u015f stated that the Turkish Cypriots have endured great suffering and pain on the road to achieving their independence and freedom. Serdar Denkta\u015f said that his father had devoted his entire life for the freedom and independence of the Turkish Cypriot people and that his struggle had been crowned with the creation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p>President Ersin Tatar commemorated Denkta\u015f in his speech with the words \u2018Mujahideen, warrior, brave hearted and a good negotiator\u2019 and said \u201cWe all know that he provided very important services for the acquisition of our rights, law and independence.
