TRNC Minister of Foreign Affairs Tahsin Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu said that the response of the leader of Greek Cypriot Administration Nikos Anastasiadis to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevl\u00fct \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu “If T\u00fcrkiye recognizes the Republic of Cyprus and accepts the delineation of the borders between the two countries’ exclusive economic zones, everything is on the negotiation table” is not a response to be taken seriously.<\/p>\n
Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu who attended the BRTK\u2019s TV program on 15th April by phone stated that Anastasiades\u2019 response should not be considered as a response to be taken seriously after \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu explained the well-known line of the Turkish Cypriot side on hydrocarbons in a very comprehensive and very logical manner.<\/p>\n
In his speech, Minister Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu underlined that it is clear that no progress will be made as Greek Cypriot side considers itself as so-called \u201cRepublic of Cyprus\u201d and as it continues to consider the Turkish Cypriots as a community of the so-called Republic of Cyprus.<\/p>\n
Stating that the Turkish Cypriot side’s proposals made for fairly sharing and evaluation of resources in the Eastern Mediterranean in 2011, 2012 and 2019 are still on the negotiation table, Minister Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu noted that Anastasiadis continues his policy to disregard the Turkish Cypriot side and to direct T\u00fcrkiye to recognize the so-called Greek Cypriot state under the title of the so-called Republic of Cyprus. Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu stressed that this is an unavailing effort and as long as they insist on this, they must understand as soon as possible that no compromise or cooperation will come to the fore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
