(10\u00a0March 2023).\u00a0A ceremony was held at the Malya Martyrs Monument for those who were martyred during the 1964 resistance in Malya village.<\/p>\n<p>TRNC President Ersin Tatar delivered a speech at the ceremony and commemorated the martyrs who sacrificed their lives so that the Turkish Cypriot people could continue their existence on these lands.<\/p>\n<p>Tatar emphasized that thanks to those martyrs, life in the TRNC continues in a free and independent manner and that the martyrs will never be forgotten.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Tatar reminded that 59 years ago, Turkish Cypriots did their best to prevent the Greek Cypriot attacks and emphasised that the Turkish Cypriot people continued their struggle and resistance with the support of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The martyrs of Malya village were commemorated with a ceremony in Ayd\u0131nk\u00f6y on Friday.
