A group of Greek Cypriot students attempted to attack President Ersin Tatar, who was in King’s College London to give a conference on the Cyprus issue.<\/p>\n
President Tatar described the action as a manifestation of Greek Cypriot mentality that does not\u00a0 tolerate the Turkish Cypriot people\u2019s voice being heard.<\/p>\n
President Ersin Tatar who is holding a variety of contacts in London this week was attacked by the Greek Cypriot students while trying to enter King\u2019s College London. The attempt to physically attack the President\u2019s convoy by the protesting group was prevented by the\u00a0 British security.<\/p>\n
The President said that the protest was \u2018very ugly and unseemly\u2019 and noted that the Greek Cypriots could not tolerate the Turkish Cypriot people being given the opportunity to express\u00a0 themselves and tell their side of the story.<\/p>\n
