The Head of the TRNC\u2019s PACE delegation, National Unity Party MP O\u011fuzhan Hasipo\u011flu posed a question to\u00a0\u00a0the Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides\u00a0at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)\u00a0General Assembly.<\/p>\n
Hasipo\u011flu stated that the newly elected President of the PACE, Greek MP Theodoros Rousopoulo who chaired the session, gave him only 30 seconds of time limit and added \u201cIn fact, another unfair situation here was that our elected President should have been given the right to speak since Christodoulides made a speech, It is not for this reason that in our new proposal to the UN, we are also demanding out international equal status.\u201d<\/p>\n
The delegation also had a meeting with PACE\u2019s Mara\u015f and Cyprus Reporter.<\/p>\n
According to the information released by the TRNC Assembly, members of the PACE delegation, National Unity Party MP O\u011fuzhan Hasipo\u011flu and Republican Turkish Party MP Arma\u011fan Candan have met with Italy\u2019s Member of Parliament, Mara\u015f and Cyprus Reporter Piero Fassino and\u00a0completed\u00a0their Strasbourg contacts. Fassino is expected to hold contacts in T\u00fcrkiye, Cyprus and Brussels regarding the report.<\/p>\n
The delegation also made speeches about the Cyprus issue and the report regarding Israel-Palestine-Gazza and shared their opinions about the report regarding Mara\u015f\/Cyprus in the Political Affairs Committee.<\/p>\n
The delegation also attended the political group meetings within PACE.\u00a0National Unity Party MP O\u011fuzhan Hasipo\u011flu attended the European Conservatives Group and Democratic Alliance meetings, whereas Republican Turkish Party MP Arma\u011fan Candan attended the Socialists, Democrats and Greens Group\u2019s meetings.<\/p>\n
The delegation has also attended the working dinner organized by T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Nurdan Bayraktar Golder.<\/p>\n
