{"id":143690,"date":"2024-07-03T10:12:24","date_gmt":"2024-07-03T07:12:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/president-tatar-returns-from-uk-visit\/"},"modified":"2024-07-03T10:12:24","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T07:12:24","slug":"president-tatar-returns-from-uk-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/president-tatar-returns-from-uk-visit\/","title":{"rendered":"President Tatar returns from UK visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Ersin Tatar completed his visit to the UK and returned to the country.<\/p>\n<p>President Tatar was welcomed by the Speaker of the TRNC Assembly Zorlu T\u00f6re and other officials at Ercan Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the press at Ercan Airport following his contacts in Manchester and London, the President said that he met with Turkish Cypriot businesspeople and attended a reception held in his honour, where he discussed the Cyprus issue with participants from diverse communities, including those from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Muslim community.<\/p>\n<p>The President also attended the Cyprus Turkish Culture Festival in London, organized by the Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Pointing out that his contacts included delivering a significant speech at the internationally renowned think tank Chatham House, Tatar said. \u201cI stressed that a two-state solution is the way forward.
