{"id":143928,"date":"2024-12-24T13:55:50","date_gmt":"2024-12-24T10:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/?p=143928"},"modified":"2024-12-24T13:55:50","modified_gmt":"2024-12-24T10:55:50","slug":"martyrs-of-larnaca-commemorated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/martyrs-of-larnaca-commemorated\/","title":{"rendered":"Martyrs of Larnaca commemorated"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The martyrs and missing persons of Larnaca District during the National Struggle years and the Cyprus Peace Operation were commemorated in a ceremony held in front of the \u0130skele Larnaca Martyrs\u2019 Monument.<\/div>\n<div>Speaking at the ceremony within the framework of the 21-25 December National Struggle and Martyrs Week,\u00a0President Ersin Tatar highlighted that a successful national resistance had been carried out against efforts to annihilate the Turkish Cypriot people, which brought them to this day.<\/div>\n<div>Tatar underlined that the Turkish Cypriot people, who suffered great pain and made significant sacrifices, can now live freely and honourably.
