{"id":147648,"date":"2025-07-25T11:02:22","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T08:02:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/?p=147648"},"modified":"2025-07-25T11:02:22","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T08:02:22","slug":"beyarmudu-martyrs-commemorated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/beyarmudu-martyrs-commemorated\/","title":{"rendered":"Beyarmudu Martyrs commemorated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A ceremony was held to commemorate six people who were martyred in Beyarmudu during the years of the National Struggle.<\/p>\n<p>In his speech at the ceremony, President Tatar underlined that the Turkish Cypriots had suffered greatly until 1974, stressing that the martyrs will never be forgotten.<\/p>\n<p>Touching on the Cyprus issue in his speech, Tatar stated that independence and freedom would not be compromised and that an agreement based on sovereignty was indispensable.<\/p>\n<p>Pointing out that forming a partnership with the Greek Cypriots is not as easy as it seems, Tatar said, \u201cThey see us as a minority.
