background: white;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"color: black;\">TRNC Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu said that the United Nations Secretary-General&#8217;s Special Representative for Cyprus, Colin Stewart, whose term has ended, was a great disappointment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5116122259ydpce0eec3msonormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; background: white;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"color: black;\">Speaking on the BRT programme \u2018G\u00fcndem+\u2019, Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu recalled that Special Representative Stewart\u2019s stance, particularly on the Yi\u011fitler-Pile road, had brought the issue to a point of conflict.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5116122259ydpce0eec3msonormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; background: white;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"color: black;\">Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu stated, \u201cGiven his behavior so far, I wasn\u2019t surprised by the statements he made to both the Greek Cypriot press and some of our media outlets upon his departure.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5116122259ydpce0eec3msonormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; background: white;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"color: black;\">He said that Stewart\u2019s statements did not reflect the realities on the island and added, \u201cWhen you point this out to him, he responds arrogantly and evades the essence of the matter and has clearly demonstrated his pro-Greek Cypriot stance as a UN official.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5116122259ydpce0eec3msonormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; background: white;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"color: black;\">Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu further noted that even UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has not used such language and said: \u201cThis is a great disrespect toward the Turkish Cypriot side.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5116122259ydpce0eec3msonormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; background: white;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"color: black;\">He criticized Stewart for making statements that contradicted the impartiality expected of his position, adding, \u201cThis only reinforces our justified concerns about the nationality of individuals appointed to such roles.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv5116122259ydpce0eec3msonormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;
