Vice President of T\u00fcrkiye, Cevdet Y\u0131lmaz, concluded his two-day official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) during he attended in significant functions, held talks with state and government authorities.<\/p>\n
During his visit, Y\u0131lmaz also attended the launch of TRNC\u2019s new e-government mobile application at the Presidential Complex.<\/p>\n
Highlighting that today\u2019s rapidly evolving digital landscape neither T\u00fcrkiye nor the TRNC could afford to fall behind, Y\u0131lmaz said \u201cin a climate where unjust and inhumane isolation is imposed on the TRNC, the digital world opens many doors,\u201d stressing that the system\u2019s represents only a starting point.<\/p>\n
He further underlined that the critical importance of integrating educational institutions, municipal administrations, and the private sector into the broader digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Prior to ending his visit, Y\u0131lmaz took part in a high-level summit at the Presidential Complex with President Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister \u00dcnal \u00dcstel, and coalition leaders.<\/p>\n
Following these discussions, Y\u0131lmaz and Tatar held a joint press conference, where Y\u0131lmaz reiterated T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s unwavering support for the TRNC\u2019s economic development and its commitment to the two-state vision.<\/p>\n
Expressing to the prevailing period of political stability in the TRNC, Y\u0131lmaz noted that close collaborative efforts with T\u00fcrkiye, has expedited mutual initiatives, adding that the impending fiber-optic network initiative, investments in road infrastructure, and healthcare projects as instances of swift advancement.<\/p>\n
He also claimed that converting the TRNC into an \u201cinformation island\u201d would be one of the powerful ways to response to the isolations imposed on Turkish Cypriots.<\/p>\n
