{"id":148395,"date":"2025-09-16T12:29:01","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T09:29:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/?p=148395"},"modified":"2025-09-16T12:32:43","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T09:32:43","slug":"president-tatar-receives-holguin-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/president-tatar-receives-holguin-3\/","title":{"rendered":"President Tatar receives Holguin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Ersin Tatar has received Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngela Holgu\u00edn, Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Following his meeting, President Ersin Tatar made statements to the press.<\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly week in New York, President Tatar announced that he is scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General Ant\u00f3nio Guterres and his delegation on 26 September, and to take part in a trilateral meeting with the Greek Cypriot leader on 27 September.<\/p>\n<p>Stressing that he would once again bring the issue of crossing points to the attention of the Secretary-General in New York, President Tatar also requested Holgu\u00edn\u2019s initiatives regarding the matters of mixed marriages and prison conditions in Greek Cypriot side.<\/p>\n<p>Stating that he had a fruitful meeting with Holguin, President Tatar reiterated that for a just, lasting, and sustainable settlement to the Cyprus problem, the removal of status inequality, as well as the recognition of sovereign equality and equal international status, are indispensable prerequisites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Ersin Tatar has received Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngela Holgu\u00edn, Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General yesterday.
