Stating that all previous attempts to keep our people\u2019s hopes alive with the illusion of federation have failed, Prime Minister \u00dcstel added that the Greek Cypriot side categorically rejected T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s guarantorship in every federal formula put forward in the past . \u00dcstel noted that a settlement without T\u00fcrkiye would mean nothing but insecurity, uncertainty, and leaving the Turkish Cypriot people at the mercy of the Greek Cypriots.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Furthermore, Prime Minister \u00dcstel stressed \u201cWe have paid a heavy price for the attempts of the Greek Cypriots to reduce us to a minority. The will of the Turkish Cypriot people and T\u00fcrkiye, as a party at the negotiating table, is clear: The chapter of federation is closed. Our path forward, with T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s unwavering support, lies in a settlement based on sovereign equality and the coexistence of two states.
