Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu received a delegation from the Turkish Grand National Assembly\u2019s National Defence Commission, headed by Hulusi Akar. The meeting reaffirmed T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s steadfast support for a two-state solution based on sovereign equality while also addressing bilateral relations and regional developments.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Minister Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu emphasized the importance of maintaining sovereign equality and reiterated the enduring support of T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he stated that the Greek Cypriot leadership \u201cmust abandon outdated aspirations,\u201d emphasizing that available solution depends not on withdrawal of Turkish troops, but on the recognition of the sovereign equality of the Turkish Cypriot people.<\/p>\n

Hulusi Akar reiterated that \u201cCyprus is a national cause,\u201d adding that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure the security of Turkish Cypriots.<\/p>\n
