President Tufan Erh\u00fcrman issued a statement via social media addressing three separate matters: the planned visit to Hala Sultan Tekke, the Kirac\u0131k\u00f6y\u2013Eylence connection, and the leaders\u2019 meeting.<\/p>\n
Regarding the planned group visit to Hala Sultan Tekke in Larnaca on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, President Erh\u00fcrman emphasized that the repeated postponement and restriction of the visit on invalid grounds is unacceptable.<\/p>\n
He noted that this situation is known to United Nations (UN) officials and stated that the matter will be brought to the attention of all levels of the international community.<\/p>\n
On the issue of the Kirac\u0131k\u00f6y\u2013Eylence crossing, Erh\u00fcrman underlined that proposals put forward by the Turkish Cypriot side were rejected.<\/p>\n
He added that this has been communicated to UN and European Union (EU) officials, as well as to ambassadors involved in the process. He stressed that attempts by the Greek Cypriot leadership to shift responsibility onto the Turkish Cypriot side through the media do not reflect reality.<\/p>\n
