{"id":151508,"date":"2026-03-30T13:52:04","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T10:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/?p=151508"},"modified":"2026-03-30T13:52:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T10:52:04","slug":"president-erhurman-obstructions-are-unacceptable-facts-distorted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pio.mfa.gov.ct.tr\/en\/president-erhurman-obstructions-are-unacceptable-facts-distorted\/","title":{"rendered":"President Erh\u00fcrman: \u201cObstructions are unacceptable, facts distorted\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Tufan Erh\u00fcrman issued a statement via social media addressing three separate matters: the planned visit to Hala Sultan Tekke, the Kirac\u0131k\u00f6y\u2013Eylence connection, and the leaders\u2019 meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the planned group visit to Hala Sultan Tekke in Larnaca on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, President Erh\u00fcrman emphasized that the repeated postponement and restriction of the visit on invalid grounds is unacceptable.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that this situation is known to United Nations (UN) officials and stated that the matter will be brought to the attention of all levels of the international community.<\/p>\n<p>On the issue of the Kirac\u0131k\u00f6y\u2013Eylence crossing, Erh\u00fcrman underlined that proposals put forward by the Turkish Cypriot side were rejected.<\/p>\n<p>He added that this has been communicated to UN and European Union (EU) officials, as well as to ambassadors involved in the process.
