Presidential Undersecretary Mehmet D\u00e2n\u00e2 held official meetings in the presence of the European Union (EU) in Brussels.<\/p>\n
D\u00e2n\u00e2 met with political representatives, cabinet members, and senior officials from the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the European Council.<\/p>\n
According to a statement issued by the Presidency, D\u00e2n\u00e2 briefed officials on the confidence-building measures and the position of the Turkish Cypriot side regarding the Cyprus issue. He also discussed additional matters during the meetings with the Commission\u2019s Directorates-General, including halloumi, the initiative by the Greek Cypriot side regarding the registration of red soil potatoes, issues related to the Green Line Regulation, and the application of the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus to join the Schengen Area.<\/p>\n
D\u00e2n\u00e2 also held consultations with Ambassador Yaprak Balkan, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye to the EU.<\/p>\n
Following his contacts in Brussels, D\u00e2n\u00e2 travelled to Paris, where he met with officials from the Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
