The meeting of the parliamentary friendship groups of Azerbaijan, Republic of T\u00fcrkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was held at Azerbaijan\u2019s Milli Majlis. TRNC Speaker of the Assembly Ziya \u00d6zt\u00fcrkler stated that the concept of \u201cthree states, one nation\u201d is gaining strenght, emphasizing that the Turkic world is bound by deep rooted ties based on a shared history, culture, and traditions.<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by Head of the T\u00fcrkiye\u2013Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Member of Parliament \u015eamil Ayr\u0131m, Head of T\u00fcrkiye\u2013TRNC Friendship Group, Member of Parliament Orhan Erdem along with members of both friendship groups.<\/p>\n
Also Head of the Azerbaijan\u2013TRNC Interparliamentary Relations Friendship Group, Member of Parliament Cevan\u015fir Feyziyev; Head of the Azerbaijan\u2013T\u00fcrkiye Interparliamentary Relations Friendship Group, Member of Parliament Ehliman Emirselanov along with other members of the friendship groups were present.<\/p>\n
In his address, Speaker \u00d6zt\u00fcrkler underlined the need to further strengthen solidarity within the Turkic world and to reinforce the TRNC\u2019s position in the international arena.<\/p>\n
Expressing satisfaction that the third meeting of the friendship groups was held in Baku, he noted that the first meeting which took place in the TRNC holds particular significance for them.<\/p>\n
