21 July, 2021The 47th Anniversary of 20th July Peace and Freedom Day will be celebrated with various ceremonies.
President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his accompanying delegation will also attend the ceremonies.
Celebration programme started today (19th July) at 09:00 with a 21 gun salute and a speech by President Ersin Tatar.
International North Cyprus Culture and Sports Festival will be held at Lefkoşa Atatürk Stadium between the dates 17-19 July 2021.
A competition between the TRNC Basketball National Team and Kyrgyzstan Basketball National Team will be held today (19 July 2021).
Within the framework of the celebrations, the Dawn Watch will be held at Yavuz Çıkarma Beach tonight (19th July).
On Tuesday 20th July, the first ceremony will start with laying of wreaths on the Martyrs Monument in front of Lefkoşa Atatürk Monument.
An official parade will be held at Dr.Fazıl Küçük Boulevard at 09:00 in Lefkoşa. Following speeches of President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and TRNC President Ersin Tatar, the ceremony will end with the official parade.
It is mandatory to comply with the social distance and mask rules in all ceremonies and events within the framework of the measures for Coronavirus (COVID-19) which is declared as a ‘Dangerous Contagious Disease’ with the decision of the TRNC Council of Ministers numbered E.T(K-I)857-2020.
