27 November, 2015Economy, Industry and Commerce Minister Sunat Atun participated in the Meeting of the Economic and Commercial Cooperation Permanent Committee (ISEDAK) of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) which was organized in İstanbul.
In his statements during the meeting of ISEDAK, Atun expressed his pleasure towards urging the member states of OIC in order to strengthen effective solidarity with the Turkish Cypriots on the Cyprus issue.
At the meeting of 42 Foreign Ministers at the Council meeting of OIC which was held in Kuwait in May this year, Minister Atun welcomed the decision which calls on OIC member countries to establish close relationships by strengthening effective solidarity with the Turkish Cypriots, and to prevent the inhuman isolation imposed on the Turkish Cypriots, to enhance relations in all areas, to make mutual visits for the purpose of researching investment opportunities in areas such as economy, transport and tourism, and to develop the relations with the Turkish Cypriots in the fields of culture, sports and education.
