7 January, 2016South Cyprus was reported among the world’s 10 most militarist countries list on the data of the International Research Foundation.
The Greek Cypriot daily Fileleftheros indicated that in the report of the BICC Foundation for 2015, South Cyprus is in seventh order in the world’s 10 most militarist countries. The newspaper also wrote that the main reason of South Cyprus to be at the top is considered as compulsory military service.
