Eide: “We need to create an outcome in Cyprus where both communities can feel safe and secure”

7 January, 2016President Mustafa Akıncı and the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiadis will hold their first meeting of 2016 today, in efforts to find a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus issue.
According to the decision taken at the last meeting of 2015, the leaders will come together 3 times in January.
UN Secretary-General`s Special Advisor on Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide will attend the meeting to be held at 10:00 at the buffer zone in Lefkosa. The leaders are expected to meet again on the 14th and 29th of January.
