26 May, 2016Stating that the tension which arisen due to President Mustafa Akıncı attending the dinner held in Istanbul upon the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the reaction of the Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades to the situation, Communal Democracy Party leader Cemal Özyiğit said that this development negatively affects the solution process.
In his written statement Özyiğit said, “What is important is the negotiation table and the solution process. Therefore, any action that will harm the process should be avoided. It is vitally important.”
