24 August, 2016The TRNC Minister of National Education and Culture Özdemir Berova met with Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey, İsmet Yılmaz, in Ankara.
Yılmaz said that “We hope that the TRNC will be one step ahead of Turkey in terms of education.”
Yılmaz also added that there have been a number of new and innovative ideas in the education sector but there is always more to do.
“We are working with the TRNC Minister of National Education and Culture, and we are always seeking to provide the best service for our nations and people. We are ready to cooperate with the TRNC across all levels of education, from kindergarten to higher education.”
In his speech, Minister Berova stated that: “Close cooperation with motherland Turkey has continued for many years. According to laws for national education in the TRNC, the key elements of national education in the TRNC should be implemented in tandem with the Republic of Turkey and according to Atatürk’s principles and reforms.”
