22 November, 2016The restoration of the historical Kumarcılar (Gamblers) Inn in Lefkosa’s Old Walled City has been completed and is being opened for service again tomorrow.
The Tourism and Environment Ministry took over the right of use from the property owner for a 12-year period with a protocol signed on July 12, 2011 in order to regain the Kumarcılar (Gamblers) Inn which had almost been destroyed.
Kumarcılar (Gamblers) Inn is the most important inn building after the Great Inn which was built during the Ottoman period. It is one of 18 historic inns which were built in Lefkosa.
