Citizens can obtain TRNC Identity Card by applying to the TRNC Ankara Embassy and İstanbul Consulate General

Within the framework of the e-identity card application, citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will be able to obtain the TRNC identity card by applying to the TRNC Embassy in Ankara and TRNC Consulate General in İstanbul.
In a statement, Interior Minister Kutlu Evren said that the changes are part of a series of initiatives designed to make the lives of TRNC citizens on the island and abroad easier. He added that a number of these projects are complete, or close to finalisation.
Evren announced that the e-Identity Card Application System came into service as of yesterday for TRNC citizens living in İstanbul and Ankara, and expressed his hope that the project would be beneficial to those citizens.
Minister Evren also said that works have begun in order to expand the initiative for the İzmir, Mersin, London, Berlin, Abu Dhabi, Brussels, Baku and Rome Consulates and Foreign Representatives, and that people will be able to start applying for the E-Identity Card as soon as possible.
