31 March, 2017Near East University Founding Rector Dr. Suat İ. Günsel was given the title of Honorary Professorship of the Oxford Academic Union by the International Socrates Committee.
Dr. Suat Günsel, who is also a member of the European Rectors’ Club, received the honorary title at a magnificent ceremony held in London.
Speaking at the ceremony, Günsel said that the university is now competing against other universities from developed countries around the world, and added, “The islanders constantly have the feeling of being on a ship, that they need to take root somewhere to avoid being caught in the storms. Our university has managed to bring together people from 110 different countries on this tiny island”.
