Turkish Deputy Prime Minister and Responsible for Cyprus Affairs Recep Akdağ visited the TRNC for two days and held many official meetings.
During his official meetings with the TRNC’s government authorities, Akdağ said “Turkey will do its best as a guarantor country in Cyprus. The TRNC is strong and can stand alone with its deep-rooted traditions”.
Akdağ added that the UN and the whole world should put pressure on South Cyprus to fix its mistakes and stressed that Turkey, as a guarantor country, will always do its utmost to protect the rights of the Turkish Cypriots in the TRNC.
