Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Akdağ to arrive in the TRNC

29 August, 2017Minister of Economy and Energy Sunat Atun has stated that works within the framework of energy cooperation agreement with Turkey to lay electricity pipes undersea from Turkey to the TRNC are almost complete. Atun said that the project is due to be concluded in two to two and a half years.
The minister said that, as per the plans laid out in the agreement, joint working groups have gathered a number of times, and that they have almost completed their works. Atun added that Turkish Cypriot side is always ready to provide electricity to South Cyprus.
