22 October, 2020Spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric said that Antonio Guterres is determined to revive the political process in Cyprus and wants to bring the two sides and the guarantor countries together at the appropriate time.
At the daily press briefing, Dujarric gave information about the road map of the Secretary-General Guterres after the elections in TRNC.
Stating that Guterres wants to resume the political process and plans to bring together Cypriot parties and the guarantor countries Turkey, Greece, and the United Kingdom at an appropriate time, Dujarric stressed the importance of building trust between the parties.
Dujarric also called on the parties to avoid any unilateral steps that would endanger the negotiations and the political process which is being sought to be revived.
