9 July, 2021Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay stated that our belief and thought in Cyprus on the basis of two equal sovereign states are the clearest message we send to the world that we are in unity and solidarity with the TRNC government and President Ersin Tatar.
TRNC Prime Minister Ersan Saner and Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay met at the Prime Ministry.
In his speech at the Prime Ministry, Oktay thanked Prime Minister Saner for his hospitality on behalf of himself and his delegation and pointed out that they came to the TRNC for a 2-day working visit.
Stating that the working visit has two purposes, Oktay said the first of them is to make preparations before the visit of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who will come to the TRNC on the occasion of the 20th July Peace and Freedom Day, and the second purpose is to closely examine and consult the ongoing projects and to determine the stage reached in the studies and what to do next.
Celebrating the upcoming 20th July Peace and Freedom Day, Oktay pointed out the importance of 20th July and emphasised that this was the day when his TRNC brothers and Turkish Cypriots gained their freedom.
