Stating that the EU stood side by side with those who expressed what a solution should not be in Cyprus, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay reacted to the statements of European Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen, who visited South Cyprus.

In response to the words of the President of the European Commission regarding Cyprus “I want to repeat that we will never, ever accept a two-state solution. We are firm on that and very united,” Oktay said “There is a state on the Turkish side of Cyprus. This state is independent, equal, strong, standing upright on its own feet. It doesn’t need anyone else’s approval either”.
