27 March, 2023Osman Örek, one of the leading figures in the Turkish Cypriot Peoples’ struggle for existence who served as the Prime Minister of the Turkish Federated State of Cyprus was remembered on the 24th anniversary of his death at a ceremony held at his graveside in the Lefkoşa State Cemetery.
TRNC President Ersin Tatar, Speaker of the TRNC Assembly Zorlu Töre, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces Commander Major General Sezai Öztürk, Security Forces Major General Zorlu Topaloğlu, military authorities, some ministers, some deputies, other officials and the family of Osman Örek attended the ceremony.
