1 June, 2016President Akıncı and the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades will attend an event which will be organized by the Bi-communal Technical Committee on Education for Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot children for the first time.
At the event, which was created by the decision of the leaders, a total of nearly 100 Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot children of the ages 11-12 will come together at the Home for Cooperation at the buffer zone in Nicosia.
The event is also supported by Cyprus Turkish Teachers Union and POED Teachers Union from South Cyprus. The aim of the event is to help the development of inter-communal understanding, to improve mutual understanding between participants and to allow the children to get to know each other better with musical and artistic activities.
