20 January, 2016Making a statement to the press before his departure to Davos, President Akıncı said that he will attend a trilateral meeting for the first time with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Anastasiades. Akıncı stated that the meeting has a great significance in terms of evaluating the progress reached so far as well as determining the next stage of the talks.
Stating that he has a scheduled meeting with US Vice President Joe Biden, President Akıncı said that he will also speak at a panel regarding the future of Cyprus.
