Yesterday, President Mustafa Akıncı met with the leaders of political parties which form the government. Leader of Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman, Leader of People’s Party (HP) and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay, Leader of Communal Democracy Party and Minister of National Education and Culture Cemal Özyiğit and Leader of Democrat Party and Minister of Finance Serdar Denktaş attended the meeting which was held at the Presidential Palace. During the meeting, the current stage on the Cyprus issue was discussed ahead of the meeting to be held in New York in the coming days.

Akıncı will also meet with the leaders of the opposition parties of the Republican Assembly today.
