Kanbay presents Ertuğruloğlu with a card in memory of 15 July

19 January, 2017President Mustafa Akıncı met with Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Derya Kanbay yesterday afternoon. Akıncı and Kanbay exchanged views regarding the five-party Cyprus conference and the negotiation process during the meeting.
Kanbay presented President Akıncı with a memorial card containing a fragment of the collapsed marble walls of the Grand National Assembly, following the attempted coup on 15 July 2016.
The card was prepared by the Turkish Prime Minister’s Directorate General of Press and Information Office.
The card stated that “Terror is a crime against humanity” and highlighted the strength of democracy and heroism shown by the Turkish people on 15 July.
