All the missing Turkish Cypriots were civilian

Gülden Plümer Küçük, Turkish Cypriot member of the Committee on Missing Persons, stated that all the missing Turkish Cypriots were civilian.

Turkish Cypriot member, Gülden Plümer Küçük, Greek Cypriot member, Nestoras Nestoros, and the UN member, Paul-Henri Arni, of the Committee on Missing Persons held a press meeting at the anthropology laboratory at the UN buffer zone regarding the allegations that the family of a missing Greek Cypriot received bones of someone else in addition to those of their relative.

Stating that the identification is true, the members of the Committee recorded that they are more likely to have faults because of the DNA Test which could not be used on all the bones and their principle of giving bones more than 3-4 pieces to the families.

Küçük said that according to the list of missing persons, all the missing Turkish Cypriots were civilian and 25-28% of them were women and children, %12 of Greek Cypriots were women and children and %55 of them were Greek and Greek Cypriot soldiers.
