30 November, 2018The Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu attended as a speaker at the 8th International Resort Tourism Congress organized in Antalya by Mediterranean Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association MTHA and made a statement about the tourism of the country.
Addressing the congress entitled “Tourism of the Future, Future of the Tourism”, Ataoğlu said that the TRNC currently has a bed capacity of 25,000 and 1,142 million tourists had visited the TRNC last year resulting in a revenue of 865 million dollars.
Ataoğlu stated that the TRNC is a country with an increasing tourism potential every year, and the annual occupancy rate for 5-star hotels in the country stood at an average of 85%.
