9 November, 2022Northern Cyprus Banks Association took part as an observer at the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement for the establishment of the Turkish States Banking Associations Council.
According to the statement issued by the Association, the Chairman of the Turkish Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency Mehmet Ali Akben, the Chairman of the Banks Association of Türkiye Alpaslan Çakar, other officials, and the heads of the bank associations in the member countries of the Organization of Turkish States attended the signing ceremony held in İstanbul.
It was stated that Georgia, Northern Cyprus Banks Association, Hungary and Turkmenistan are also expected to become full members as soon as possible.
