Presidential Spokesman Barış Burcu stated that the intense calendar of upcoming days was determined during yesterday’s meeting of negotiators. Making a statement about the meeting of the negotiators held after a 15-day break, Presidential spokesman Burcu stated that yesterday’s meeting of the negotiators Özdil Nami and Andreas Mavroyannis lasted about 3 hours and it was a “preparation”. Burcu added: “This week we have an intense schedule at the level of negotiators as well as technical committee.”
Furthermore, Burcu stated that negotiators are going to meet at Ledra Palace Hotel during this week.Reminding that the leaders meeting will be held on September 1, Burcu announced that the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide is coming to the island on 31 August. Meanwhile, negotiators will meet every day except the weekend until Monday.
